In the July issue, I looked at how interstellar trips might be possible using today’s technology in “How humans will travel to Alpha Centauri.” It would take enormous acts of political will and significant amounts of money (though the project might end up being profitable), but technically such a journey is feasible. Whether or not anyone actually embarks on such a voyage, the fact remains that someone could.
