NGC 6910 is a bright but often-overlooked open star cluster embedded in the nebulosity around Gamma Cygni. (Total exposure time: 186 minutes)
In the April issue, Astronomy showcased the stunning astrophotography of Bernhard Hubl. Hubl has been imaging for more than 20 years and goes after all types of deep-sky objects. Still, he is most known for an unusual object choice; He prefers those targets most others often overlook, including open star clusters, distant galaxy group groups, and dark nebulae.

But four pages only provided a taste of Hubl’s vast library of work. Below are 10 more images that cover the gamut of deep-sky catalogs and make up some of the imager’s most recent and favorite pieces. And if you want to see even more, visit Hubl’s website, www.astrophoton.com.
