NASA is stepping up their social media game by sharing their best images on official Pinterest and GIPHY accounts.

Pinterest allows users to scroll through a gallery of videos and images, called pins, and save them, or pin them, to their own albums, also called pinboards. Browsers on Pinterest can now scroll through pins of NASA’s missions in aeronautics, astrophysics, Earth science, human spaceflight, and much more and save them to their pinboards.

GIPHY is a search engine of GIFs, or images in an animated format. People using GIPHY can scroll through a variety of GIFs or search for certain ones and download them for use on other social media channels. NASA’s addition to GIPHY means users can now find moving images of missions, whether crewed missions aboard the International Space Station or robotic images from the outer solar system.

The goal of adding these accounts was to keep the public engaged on other social media accounts and give a broader view of NASA’s missions, facilities, and people. Keep checking the new accounts with more pins and GIFs to come.
