Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, became a household name after Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto from there in 1930. The observatory has remained in the forefront of astronomical findings ever since. Astronomy talked with Brian Skiff, a research assistant there, about modern-day astronomical searches and his thoughts on Tombaugh's legacy.
