Nearing perihelion

Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3) reaches perihelion — its point of closest approach to the Sun — today, Sept. 27. This shot was taken Sept. 25 with a 12-inch f/3.6 scope and LRGB filters with exposure times of 145, 20, 20, and 20 seconds, respectively.
