A southern comet

Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) isn’t easy to spot — those in the Southern Hemisphere have the best opportunities for visual observations. But it is still well within reach for Northern Hemisphere astrophotographers, as evidenced by this pre-dawn shot taken from Sicily. The photographer used a Canon mirrorless camera and 200mm zoom lens at f/4 to take a ¼-second exposure at ISO 800.
