On your mark! Get set! Go! It’s time for March Messier Marathon madness.

Each year right around the vernal equinox, the heavens align such that — depending on your location — all of the Messier objects are visible sometime between sunset and sunrise. And this year is just about perfect because New Moon is Thursday, March 26. That means we have two good weekends, March 21/22 and 28/29.
