Collinder 21 is a pleasant group of faint stars found about half a binocular field southwest of Alpha (α) Trianguli, the triangle’s tip. Seven-power binoculars show only the group’s brightest stars, but 11x and larger glasses add enough stars to create a letter C opening toward the east.
