STARMUS lands in the U.S. with ‘STARMUS x The Kennedy Center’

We are thrilled to announce that the renowned STARMUS festival is making its debut in the United States! This exciting event, ‘STARMUS x The Kennedy Center’, will be part of the spectacular The Kennedy Center EARTH to SPACE festival, taking place on April 1-2, 2025, at the iconic Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

STARMUS, a unique blend of science, music, and art, has captivated audiences around the world since its inception. Founded by astrophysicist Dr. Garik Israelian and Queen’s legendary guitarist and also astrophysicist Dr. Brian May, the festival celebrates the wonders of science and the cosmos through inspiring talks, panel discussions, and unforgettable musical performances. STARMUS is also the home of the prestigious Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to science communication through various media.

‘STARMUS x The Kennedy Center’ will be hosted by Astronomy Magazine Editor and member of the STARMUS Advisory Board David Eicher, and STARMUS co-founder and Creative Director, Garik Israelian. The two-day program will feature an impressive lineup of Nobel Prize-winning scientists, astronauts, and explorers, including astronauts Chris Hadfield, Nicole Stott, and Terry Virts; Nobel Laureates Kip Thorne and Jack Szostak; astrophysicist and best-selling author Mario Livio; the President of the National Academy of Sciences, Marcia McNutt; and quantum-mind reader David Zambuka. The program will also include the premiere of the new STARMUS film and the first U.S. screening of the STARMUS VI film.

Attendees will also enjoy spectacular performances by renowned musicians such as keyboardist Derek Sherinian, guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, bassist Tony Franklin, and drummer Vinny Appice.
