The iconic Half Dome is backlit by the glow of the aurora on the horizon the night of Aug. 11/12, as Perseid meteors streak overhead. The imager used separate Nikon mirrorless and DSLR cameras, one to image the foreground and sky and another to capture the streaks of meteors.
