Of all hobbies and pastimes, astronomy might seem the most relaxed. We’re not birders freezing for hours waiting for a grackle. We’re not gardeners watching deer munch on our petunias. Our subjects essentially live forever. Once we’ve seen Sagittarius rise, we know the constellation will do it again at that same horizon spot all the years of our lives.
