Phil Harrington’s binocular universe: The Antares gang

This month, we have two beacons in the southern sky: Jupiter and Antares (Alpha [α] Scorpii). Jupiter is just passing through, but Antares shines brightly in our summer sky every year, like a lighthouse beacon in an ocean of fainter stars.
