When photographed every day at the same local time, the Sun’s annual motion traces the figure-eight shape of an analemma in the sky, which the extreme ends corresponding to the summer and winter solstices. This composite was taken at 7:40 A.M. local time over the course of two years to obtain enough images on sunny days to trace the shape.
